While the card deck will offer many benefits, including boosting self-confidence and promoting empowerment, it is not a replacement for professional therapy. The prompts and illustrations are designed to inspire self-reflection and spark conversations, but they are not intended as a therapeutic tool for healing from trauma, including cPTSD. If you are dealing with the aftermath of a sexually traumatic experience, I strongly recommend seeking the guidance of a qualified therapist. The deck can be a valuable supplement to your journey of self-discovery and growth, but it should not be used as a substitute for professional support.

I’d like to stop thinking about sexiness as an adjective, which makes it sound like something you either can or can’t be. We are often told that we’re born lucky enough with certain characteristics, or we have to spend our whole lives chasing after them. I find that this is extremely limiting, and makes sexiness sound completely unattainable.

What if, instead, we start thinking about it as a tangible thing that is already a part of you? You can hold it, and understand the feel of it in you. You can look at it from all angles, spin it on its head, play with it like a ball of play dough. It is already yours, and you get to decide how to interact with it.
